I’ve been hooked ever since.

MaryAnn’s passing felt to me like the loss of that faraway cousin one rarely gets to visit — a person much loved but not fully known.

I’m not artistically inclined, but I have always wanted to write. After my wife and I retired, I started to arrange electrons in a logical pattern on an iPad. Four novellas (three finished and one in the process) and several short stories were accepted by a micro-publisher, Nat 1 Publishing. Only one short story has been published at this point. The rest will be published in anthologies over the next several months. The longer stuff is scheduled for later this year and next.

Charles, you and MaryAnn have been an inspiration to me — a bit of joy in what can otherwise be a gloomy world. May the spirits you look to protect you and guide you.
